Smile with Confidence

Your smile is often what people notice first. Maintaining your smile affects the way you look and feel about yourself. Having your teeth cleaned and professionally whitened is an easy way to maintain a healthy smile and to catch any potential problems early.

Implants

If you have missing teeth, it is crucial to replace them. Without all your teeth, chewing and eating can destabilize your bite and cause you discomfort. When teeth are missing, your mouth can shift and even cause your face to look older. Implants are a great way to replace your missing teeth, and if properly maintained, can last a lifetime!. With periodontal treatment, you can smile confidently knowing that no one will ever suspect you have a replacement tooth.

A dental implant is a man-made replacement for natural teeth which allows the person to return to fixed teeth. Dental implants fuse with the jawbone to form a secure foundation for tooth replacement. The implants are manufactured from biologically neutral pure Titanium. Titanium is proven to be acceptable by the human body and it will not cause material-related rejection. . The properties of Titanium allow the human bodies bone to actually integrate into the metals surface. This process is known as “Osseointergration.” The categories of dental implants will be selected by the doctor depending on your specific needs and general dental condition. You would require an x-ray and / or CT scan to evaluate the amount of bone remaining, models of your mouth to determine space available and a thorough examination to decide which type of implant can help you the most. There are three basic categories of implants available: Immediate Implants, One day Implants or Same Day Implants: whereby existing teeth is extracted and the implant post placed on during the same surgical visit Immediate Loaded Implants: whereby the temporary or permanent fixed prosthetics is loaded onto the implant posts immediately or shortly after placement of implant post Conventional Implants: done in two phases - first phase, surgical placement of the implant posts is done. The implant posts is left to heal for at least 2 months before second phase whereby the fixed prosthetics on implant is done.

In addition to tooth replacement, implants may be used to anchor dentures, especially lower dentures that tend to shift when you talk or chew. For patients with removable partial dentures, implants can replace missing teeth so you have a more natural-looking smile.
